Five point someone of Chetan Bhagat is one of my favourite books and it is hard to believe that this is his debut book ! His informal style of story telling is very interesting. The story is funny yet touching with great down to earth characters and a captivating plot. Simplicity is the beauty of this book.
As I'm a great fan of this book , and b'coz of my belief in Ameer Khan's ability, my expectations on 3 idiots was too high. Honestly speaking , the movie was not that impressive , it didn't rise upto my expectations. I didn't like the diversion in story. The book is so real and down to earth and is more like an autobiography than a novel. I felt the film is too" soapy and filmy".
My sincere opinion is that the magic created by Bhagat in his book is much better and longlasting than the well acclaimed "3 idiots" of Amir Khan !
I too admire Chetan's book a lot and i have read all his books till now even though i am not an overt reader.
ReplyDeleteBut i have somehow how liked " 3 Idiots" movie. I think you should not really be comparing the movie with the Book as Screenplay is not exactly same as when writing a book. The movie tends to be a little but more commercialized as it ought to make some returns..
